Painting statement:

My interest in quantum healing has brought my awareness to the energetic state of being that exists on the etheric level.  My paintings embody a visualization of what an energetic state looks like.  My paintings start with a layer of paint to set the stage for application of the lines and forms that exist in my mind’s eye.  As the field begins to come into view I use the interplay of lines and forms to bring interactions between those representations. The resist method allows me to show layers of energetic movement and their imprint.  

Sculpture statement:

Apart of all that exists is energy.  My work has been about capturing the essence of an energetic state; the subtle, invisible energy that surrounds us in the visible and etheric field.  I'm often drawn to the cyclic energy center and all its potential.   I'm fascinated by the way the energy centers draw in information from our surroundings as well as radiate an energy of vibration. I discovered that steel rods, while durable, could be bent and welded to reveal a graceful fluidity of its form and ultimately yield the energetic forms I envision. Through the use of steel rods, I create forms that become a part of the energetic flow of the space.
